Lisa Palcic
Lisa holds the prestigious title of an IPTPA Master level pickleball pro, a distinction shared by fewer than 30 people worldwide. She played a pivotal role in developing and instituting the IPTPA’s national rating system, serving as a Certified Rating Specialist, Master Level Teaching Pro and Ratings Director. Lisa has conducted numerous teaching certification workshops under the IPTPA, accrediting many new teaching professionals. Her contributions to pickleball education are extensive, with numerous instructional videos featured on the IPTPA website.
Throughout her career, Lisa has led several pickleball camps across the country, collaborating with renowned pros like Tyson McGuffin, Lee Whitwell, Michelle Esquivel, and Kyle McKenzie. She has also authored articles and produced videos for Pickleball Magazine and other publications. Her YouTube video “Pickleball Basics” has amassed over 2 million views. As a competitor, Lisa has participated in the Nationals and the US Open, earning a Pro Credential in pickleball.
Despite retiring from professional play at the 5.0 level in 2020 due to injuries, teaching remains Lisa’s passion. She has instructed thousands of players of all skill levels, focusing on Body Mechanics to optimize each player’s potential through smarter and more controlled movements.
In addition to her pickleball achievements, Lisa has a robust background in fitness and athletics, with over 34 years in the industry. She managed a 30,000 square foot athletic and tennis facility, continuously updated with industry trends through the International Health and Racquet Sports Association Conference. Her tennis career spanned 15 years, during which she captained USTA teams and organized multiple tournaments. After a seven-year tenure managing Sage Springs Club and Spa, Lisa opened her own Tennis and Pickleball Shop, achieving success over eight years, becoming a Master Racquet Technician and an authority on pickleball paddles.
In Oregon, Lisa was a USAPA ambassador and served on the Bend Pickleball Club Board, significantly contributing to the sport’s growth. She has advised numerous facilities nationwide on starting or upgrading pickleball clubs and played a key role in founding the Oregon Pickleball Academy and Pickleball Zone Bend, where she directed a thriving club and teaching program.
Now, Lisa is expanding her reach through the newly launched Palcic Pickleball Academy website and YouTube channel, aiming to enhance the skills of players globally by making the game more enjoyable, effective, and fun.
